When you think of a Keycamp Holiday, the first thing that should spring to mind is the endless list of family activities and adventures on and off parc. From wonderful water complexes and stunning cycle paths to amazing adventure parks and thrilling theme parks – all available at your fingertips!

When taking a family holiday, however large or small, young or old, it’s important to have the chance to actually take part in various activities and adventures as a family – that’s how memories are made!

And it’s not just the great activities that make a Keycamp holiday stand out from the all the rest – on some parcs we even offer tree house accommodation! How’s that for a family adventure holiday?

All of Keycamp’s parcs offer fantastic fun for all the family, but to help you out here’s an idea of a few activities, parcs and regions, that together, we think really set the bar high for an adventurous, fun-filled family adventure holiday.

Family activity holidays in Brittany

A region that’s so easy to get to, Brittany has an array of campsites which offer an abundance of activities suitable for all ages. Parc Château des Ormes in Dol-de-Bretagne has so much going on you won’t know what to do first! Examples of activities available here include canoeing, cycling, kayaking, climbing, archery, horse riding, adventure course, a water park and paintballing. Plus you can stay in a tree house! Keycamp’s Action Station and Soccer Stations are also available on this parc.

Family activity holidays in the Vendée

Just a little further south of Brittany you’ll find the Vendée region. The beaches here are simply fantastic - clean and family-friendly – and are what make the region so popular with Keycamp families. Parc Le Clarys Plage on St Jean Plage is located just 10 minute’s walk away from a fantastic sandy beach, where activities including surfing and windsurfing are available. On-parc activities include tennis, table tennis and football, and just a short drive away you can take the family quad biking and horse riding! Not forgetting Le Grand Parc Puy du Fou theme park – a superb day out for everyone.

Family activity holidays in Paris

On the outskirts of Paris you’ll find the wonderful and popular parc La Croix du Vieux Pont, Berny Rivière. Set within beautifully landscaped parkland by the Compeigne Forest, this ever-so popular family adventure holiday parc is ideal for cycling, walking and pony trekking. And with its own lake, canoeing, pedalos and fishing are available too. Karting and mini-golf are other popular family activities, as well as Keycamp’s Action Station and Soccer Stations, and of course, Disneyland® Resort Paris. To top off your family’s great adventure, why not stay in a tree house too?

The Loire Valley is renowned for its fairytale châteaux and its large number of vineyards, and rightly so. However, Keycamp’s parcs in this region offer much more, so going off-parc might take some planning! Parc l’Etang de la Brèche in Saumur for example offers some great family activities including karting, crazy golf and mini golf, football, cycling, fishing and horse riding. What’s more, not too far away you can try your hand at canoeing and dinghy sailing too!

The Jura region is home to some of France’s prettiest lakes, lending themselves perfectly to some great water-based family adventure holidays! Parc Le Val de Bonnal in Rougemont has its own lakeside beach and is within easy reach of a further four lakes. Canoeing, fishing and swimming are popular activities, as well as exploring the area and the outskirts of the lakes by bicycle. What’s more, this parc has its own zip wire and high ropes adventure course, as well as tree house accommodation. Brilliant family fun!

Wonderful weather and miles of glorious sandy beaches, the Languedoc region lends itself to all sorts of fun family outdoor activities. Parc La Sirène, Argelès-sur-Mer is in a top location and offers canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving, climbing, horse riding and cycling on-site (to name but a few). At the nearby beach you can also try your hand at windsurfing! Off-parc, abseiling and climbing are more adventures that await you, and for waterpark lovers there’s nearby Aqualand.

Family activity holidays on the Côte d'Azur

Glamour, sunshine and sophistication springs to mind when you think of the Côte d’Azur. But a Keycamp holiday in this region means so much more than that! Parc Esterel at St Raphaël is a parc which offers great opportunities for those looking for family adventure holidays with activities including scuba diving, squash, archery, tennis, table tennis, mini-golf, cycling and horse riding, while off-parc the family fun continues with activities such as canoeing and boat trips, plus diving lessons!

Our Duinrell parc in Wassenaar is one of a kind. With its own fantastic waterpark and free theme park you certainly won’t be short of activities! However, there is more! Other activities available at this amazing family adventure holiday parc include diving, scuba diving, pedalos, archery, climbing wall and cycle hire. Cycling is a fantastic way of exploring the area off-parc and many customers enjoy the ride to the local beach. Also off-parc but within easy reach, you can have a go at abseiling, diving and surfing!

All Keycamp parcs in Catalonia are situated in fabulous locations, all within striking distance – if not direct access – to the beautiful sandy beaches. But the beaches are not the only thing that keeps the family entertained on a Spanish holiday. Camping Tucan at Lloret de Mar offers football, cycling and archery on parc, while off-parc you can have a go at karting, golfing, horse riding and diving - plus you’re within easy reach of several fantastic waterparks as well as the thrills and spills of Port Aventura theme park.

Family activity holidays on the Venetian Coast, Italy

The Venetian Coast has some truly wonderful safe, sandy beaches. Keycamp parc Pra’delle Torri at Caorle has direct access to a beach where you can take pedalos out onto the sea and try your hand at windsurfing. On the parc itself you’re spoilt for choice! Choose from activities including scuba diving, karting, golf, crazy/mini golf, archery, cycling… and that’s if you can tear yourselves away from the fantastic pool complex! Off-parc family activities include horse riding and dinghy sailing, plus there’s the fantastic Aqualandia waterpark with fun for all ages!

The lakes, countryside and terrain in Austria lend themselves perfectly to the kinds of family activities available at our parc Sportcamp Woferlgut, Zell Am See. On-parc you can have a go at activities such as archery, canoeing, the climbing wall, cycling, kayaking, fishing, football and horse riding. Off-parc the fun continues, as you’re within easy reach of a driving range, plus quad biking, windsurfing and diving!

Whilst many of the activities available at or near to our parcs can be considered ‘adventurous’, why not consider the following for your next family adventure?

Parc St Avit Loisirs at Le Bugue in the Dordogne is a lovely, small parc set in a countryside location, with activities galore! These include the wonderful pool complex, archery, cycle hire, quad biking and mini golf. Plus Keycamp’s Action Station and Soccer Station! However, the real adventure here is discovering the local area by canoeing or kayaking along the Dordogne’s many rivers and gorges. This is an activity which many families enjoy the most when holidaying in this region.

Parc Les Tours at St Amans-des-Côts in the Auvergne is another parc from where you can have a family adventure holiday. This beautiful parc is located by the Lac de la Selves and surrounded by stunning countryside, and offers activities such as tree-climbing, zip wire, fishing, canoeing, pedalos and windsurfing. Off-parc fun includes horse riding, climbing and more watersports – excellent ways of discovering the incredible Truyère gorges and reservoirs created from damming the river.
