Overview

At the Algarve’s peaceful western edge the living is easy.

Around and About

Praia de Luz, just 2.5km away, is a tidy resort with a great beach and a real ‘Portuguese’ feel but, for more culture, head a few miles further east to the wonderful town of Lagos. Here, amid cobbled squares, winding streets and open-air markets, you’ll find much of interest, including a lively nightlife pulsating to African rhythms – Lagos was once the centre of the trading links between Portugal and Africa. The ‘Land’s End’ of Portugal, Capo St Vicente is a lonely headland with magnificent sunsets.
