From Ireland:

If you are travelling from Ireland you can sail direct to France from Cork or Rosslare. Alternatively choose the Landbridge option, crossing the Irish Sea with one of a number of operators and taking a cross-channel route from England.

Note:

Consider taking a Landbridge crossing if you are not a keen sailor, on a fixed budget, or simply wish to spend a few days in the UK visiting friends/relatives or exploring the heritage and culture of the UK cities or countryside.
