This immaculate parc is set in beautiful countryside, with a pool complex and plenty of activities.

Part of the Castels chain, Saint Avit Loisirs is set in beautiful woodland with fabulous views of the countryside. A fun-filled Splash Parc, St Avit’s pool complex includes a tropical-style indoor pool, crazy river and a children’s water playground, complete with water jets and games. The outstanding sports facilities include a golf driving range and putting green, plus quad biking, tennis and football amongst others. A fantastic lake has recently been developed and is the perfect location for a spot of afternoon fishing. The lovely honey-coloured stone buildings house a shop, bar with a large terrace overlooking the pool and a restaurant serving local specialities.

Pools

With a whopping six pools, this expansive splash parc complex is something to behold. Featuring rocky waterfalls, twisty waterslides and a crazy river, the kids are sorted. They will also love the Aquatoon toddler spray park with colourful dragons and flamingos spurting water. Furthermore there are indoor and outdoor paddling pools and a heated indoor tropical pool as well as deck chairs for relaxing in the sun.

Kids just want to have fun...whatever age they are. With our holiday clubs there's fun and games to keep everyone happy. Our fantastic kids' clubs provide the perfect place to let them have bags of fun and expend some of that boundless energy in a safe and happy environment.

Sports and games on offer are geared to the different age groups, so there's no chance of the kids getting bored. The relaxed and friendly nature of parc life makes it easy for them to mingle and make new friends.
Our children's clubs are a brilliant rendezvous for socialising and some serious fun under the watchful eye of our children's couriers. Our clubs offer a safe and secure environment for all ages.

Out and about

Canoeing is an excellent way of exploring the river and gorges and many organised excursions are available in this area. Visits to the medieval town of Sarlat with its colourful markets and cobbled streets,or the castle at Beynac-et-Cazenac which is perched on a sheer cliff, are a must. The region is rich in pre-history, with both Les Eyzies de Tayac and the National Museum of Prehistory being close by.

Attractions

Aquarium de Perigord Noir

Europe's largest private aquarium. More than 200 metres of aquariums displaying fish from all around the world. Diving exhibitions and touch tanks are the main features.

Château Castelnaud

The most popular château in southern france. Built high on a hill in the 13th century it changed hands many times. The Château has been home to the Museum of Medieval Warfare since 1985

Le Gouffre de Padirac

The Gouffre de Padirac is a natural limestone cave. 103 metres down to the river - by lift or stairs - to the start of the tour. The visit lasts 1.5hrs and is 2km long

Musée National de Préhistoire

The National Museum of Prehistory which reflects ever expanding archeological research. It is the most important collection of items from the Paleolithic era in France.

Guided tours available

Prehisto Park

Theme park which traces the evolution of man from 1500BC. Animations throughout the park for children. Craftsmen using only the tools which would have been available at the time.

Lascaux Caves

The original Lascaux cave is closed to the public, but a replica has been reproduced 200 metres away. The reproductions include the galleries, 'the great hall of the bulls' and the 'painted gallery'. One of the most renowned archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. The caves were discovered in 1940 by teenagers.

Quercyland

Waterpark with 6 pools and a variety of slides.

Les Jardins de Marqueyssac

The gardens in the grounds of the Château de Marqueyssac are some of the best kept gardens in France. There is a nature pavillion displaying flora and fauna from around the Dordogne. Light show in July and August on Thursdays. Free parking.

Château des Milandes

Old home of Josephine Baker the famous musical hall singer. Built 1489 in a wooded region between Castelnaud & Berbiguiéres. Falconry displays several times per day. Restaurant on site. Night flights to observe the chateau from the house's own captive hot air balloon.

Château de Hautefort

One of the most prestigious châteaux in southwest france, classified as a historical monument. Built between 1630 and 1670. Surrounded by superb gardens.

Limeuil is very beautiful and ideal for a picnic by the river, under the trees."
