A complete Mediterranean holiday village on the edge of a long sandy beach, ideal for a lively beach holiday.

A warm welcome awaits at Club Farret. It’s a member of the Yelloh! Village chain of parcs and lies in the heart of Vias Plage. Situated beside a long stretch of glorious sandy beach, this large, lively parc has excellent facilities and organised entertainment throughout the season. There is an attractive pool complex, including an indoor spa, surrounded by a large sunbathing area. The restaurant with panoramic views is overlooked by the pirate themed bar. This theme continues with a fantastic new pirate inspired children’s play area. The parc is divided by a small road that leads to the beach. Most facilities are across the road, separate to where our accommodation is situated.

Pools

This pirate-themed pool complex is great for the kids. A delightful mixture of palm trees, water fountains and bridges set the scene for a fun-filled family holiday. The diving board is great for the adventurous swimmers and toddlers will love the specially designed shallow pool. Situated right by the sea and with evening shows by the pool, this complex offers a place to play, relax and be entertained. The on-parc spa offers a Jacuzzi, sauna, massages and beauty treatments.

Out and about

For wine lovers, Béziers, the principal trading centre of the Languedoc wine industry, is worth visiting. A thirty mile journey inland brings you to the picturesque Lac du Salagou, where there are a number of small lakeside beaches. Take a canoe trip through the spectacular mountain gorges of the River Orb, or try your hand at scuba-diving at Cap d’Agde. The Aqualand waterpark in Cap d’Agde opens from early June.

An adventure day for the whole family. Over 20 attractions on 4 hectares of beaches. Waterslides to suit the whole family. A colourful and rich atmosphere with music. Self service restaurant, shop.

Vulliod St Germain

The museum is housed in a 16th century palace just off the square. The Grand Salon, with its Aubusson tapestries and collection of 17th and 18th century furniture steals the show.

Reserve Africaine

African Reserve of more than 3800 animals on nearly 300 hectares of semi-natural park. Space offered is sufficiently vast so that the animals remain wild and express their natural behaviours fully.

Seaquarium Le Grau du Roi

Aquarium with different sections including: seal/dolphin shows, touch pool, museum of the sea, Mediterranean fish and tropical fish. Good viewing tunnels allow panoramic views

Carcassonne is well worth a visit but our favourite place was St-Guilhem-le-Desert: a beautiful unspoilt medieval town on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compestella. We combined it with a visit to the Grotte de Clamouse which was a good day out, I'd definitely recommend it. Montpellier is a lovely city to visit, very good for shopping and restaurants."
